Connect to Tutor

Discover your favourite tutor for the subject you want to study through the search bar at Homepage or Find tutors page or by selecting the subject from the Subjects page . You can use filters at subject specific page to narrow the search results for more refined selection as per your needs. Filters available are grade, syllabus, country, native language, ratings and review. Select the desired tutor ready to help instantly online or schedule the future session as per your availability. We recommend that you use all of the available filters. This will save your time in searching for a suitable tutor and ensure that you select the one who can best help you reach your academic goals.

Clarifying the Details

If you need to clarify any details before making a decision while selecting a tutor, you can send a personal message directly to the support from your dashboard through the envelope icon or you can send an email at [email protected].

First Trial Session

After you have registered on the site as a student, you would get a 30 minutes free trial session. It can be utilized either for an instant session or for a future session.During the trial session, you will be able to determine how the sessions are held and also able to select the tutor for future sessions.

Session Packages Payment

After the trial session, you will be able to choose a number of hours and pay for the package of sessions to continue learning. Packages of 1, 12, 36 and 144 hours are available for you. Please refer to pricing for more details. If you decide an hourly package, that would be known as regular payment. Other than the hourly pack, we have subscription payment. Any session package guarantees the safety of your money as the tutor gets paid only after you confirm that each session took place. We highly recommend the annual subscription pack. With the annual subscription, you get benefits of best discounted fee. Also, you get an add on of 50% of the remaining sessions left in a year in the consecutive next year.

Session Confirmation

There are two types of sessions at MyTutorsOnline: Instant & Future Sessions.

Instant Sessions: Whenever you search tutors at MyTutorsOnline for queries to be solved instantly, the session request goes to many tutors as per the subject or filters used. Those tutors who are available online and accepts the session instantly, would be connected instantly live with you. You would be required to wait for tutor acceptance. As and when any tutor accepts the instant session request, you would get connected with the tutor in the live classroom instantly.

Future Sessions: You can select tutors’ profile and if you find interesting, you can send future session request to them. As and when your future session requests are accepted by any of the tutors, you would receive a text message on your registered mobile number and an email on the registered email id about the same. Also, there would be an alert notification on the bell icon on the dashboard. As you click the notification bell, you would be able to join the session from “Join session” button in the upcoming sessions. If the tutor you have selected for the future session rejects your session request, please select another tutor immediately so that your time does not get wasted and you get your desired help.

If the session was not held, or you were not completely satisfied with it, please let us know about this within 24 hours after the session time by sending us an email regarding the issue so that we can take appropriate course of action.

Technical Issues during Session

Sometimes you may face some unforeseen issues that do not allow your session to be carried out satisfactorily. This may include having some technical issues related to the session either by tutor or you. In this case, we strongly recommend you to report this issue immediately, so that we can take necessary actions in a timely manner.

Follow these steps to report the technical issue during your live session:

  • Click the three dots or vertical ellipsis in the live classroom.
  • Based on the option you choose from “Support Ticket” or “Live Chat”, you will be recommended some of the immediate solutions available through live chat, otherwise, the issue will be forwarded to the support team.

You can also send an email to us if the technical help is not provided after the session completion time by clicking the envelope icon on your dashboard.

Leaving a Review of the tutor

Just after the completing the sessions, a pop up arrives offering to leave a review for your tutor. By leaving a review, you take part in the tutor's rating process and help future students choose the right tutor. Please do rate and review the tutor’s performance after each session. We recommend you to give an honest feedback about the tutor. This will help us manage our tutors’ base more effectively.

Platform Guarantees and other Rules

The refund option will only be available for your payment only during the period of 28 (twenty-eight) days from the date when your payment was made for all unscheduled sessions. In case the tutor doesn't suit your needs, or your scheduled session didn't take place but was accidentally confirmed, you a can ask us to refund within 2 days of the scheduled session's start time. In case the student does not use funds provided to the platform and/or hours acquired for such funds during the period of more than 30 (thirty) days starting from the date of provision of such funds to the platform, funds and hours of such student will be irreversibly lost and will not be refunded upon request. In case you decided to change a tutor after the first trial session or the first paid session, you can only do this not more than 1 (one) time per subject. In case you decide to change tutors more than 1 (one) time, the next first session with any other new tutor should be paid. MyTutorsOnline is not responsible for any kind of fee charged by payment systems and will not cover it when initiating a refund. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any refunds at any time are at our sole discretion only.

Session Cancellation Policy

Sometimes your plans change and you may have to cancel/reschedule your session. In this case, we require you to cancel the scheduled session and give your tutor the cancel session reason at least 6 (six) hours prior to the scheduled time. Otherwise, you are liable to be charged the full amount for the scheduled session, unless the tutor agrees not to charge you after a formal discussion with us. We reserve the right for every tutor to charge the cost of the session that is cancelled less than 6 hours before its scheduled start time, without possibility of this sum being refunded to the student.

You can cancel/reschedule sessions through your MyTutorsOnline dashboard easily by cancelling the upcoming session request you have made to the respective online tutor by clicking the “cancel” button anytime up to 6 hours before your session. You will be asked to provide a reason for cancellation which will be received by your tutor.

Once your profile is approved by the admin, you would have to provide a 30 minutes free trial session to any new student session requests. The session request could be either for an instant study help or for a future session as per availability. During the trial session, we earnestly recommend tutors to conduct a highly engaging session so that the student selects the particular tutor for their future sessions.

Session Confirmation

There are two types of sessions at MyTutorsOnline: Instant & Future Sessions

Instant Sessions: Whenever a student search tutors at MyTutorsOnline for queries to be solved instantly, the session request goes to many tutors as per the subject or filters used. Those who are available online and accepts the session instantly would be connected instantly live with the student. Here student is unaware of the tutors’ profile. The tutor who is the first one to accept the request for instant session, he/she would be able to enter the session simultaneously. Rest of the tutors who do become late to accept the request would not be able to enter the same session. So, for instant ones, be more online on tutors' dashboard, more alert, get more instant sessions.

As and when the instant session requests are made to the tutors, tutors would receive a text message on their registered mobile number and an email on the registered email id about the same. You would be required to click the notification bell icon on the dashboard and subsequently the instant session request in it. As and when you accept the instant session request, you would get connected with the student in the live classroom instantly.

Future Sessions: Students would select your profile and if they find interesting, you would get future session request from them. Kindly accept/reject the session requests as per your availability and be online as per the schedule. Be sure to reject immediately as you get the request if for any reason you are not able to accept it. This would help the students to find replacement for you as early as possible.

As and when the future session requests are made to the you, you would receive a text message on your registered mobile number and an email on the registered email id about the same. Also, there would be an alert notification on the bell icon on the dashboard. As you click the notification bell, you would be able accept or reject the session request. To accept/reject the request, click “accept/reject” for the particular session request in the “Class Requests”. After accepting, join the session as per schedule from “Join session” button in the upcoming sessions.

If the any of the session was not held properly, please let us know about this within 24 hours after the session time by sending us an email regarding the issue so that we can take appropriate course of action.

Getting a Review of the Tutor

Payments

Tutors would be paid fortnightly as per the total earnings for sessions conducted by them during this duration. For more details on the earning per hour, kindly refer to dashboard reflecting the pay per hour.

Platform Guarantees and other Rules

In case the tutor doesn't suit student’s needs, or your scheduled session didn't take place but was accidentally confirmed, the tutor will not be paid for that session unless the student confirms the successfully completed session. In case student decided to change a tutor after the first trial session or the first paid session, you will not be paid for the first paid session for that student. In the case of a negative feedback, your student will be offered to get a tutor replacement. The number of such replacements directly influences rating position of the tutor and can result in tutor's account being blocked. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any payment at any time are at our sole discretion only.

Penalties

  • 1. Sharing any contact information, full names, links and e-mails with students will lead to tutor’s profile being blocked.
  • 2. Violation of rules will result in the tutor's profile being automatically blocked.
  • 3. For multiple violations or negative feedbacks, the profile will be removed from the platform.
  • 4. In case of receiving payments from MyTutorsOnline students outside the platform, we reserve the right to stop the payments from us and the tutor would not be able to ask for any remaining payments in record with us.

Session Cancellation Policy

Sometimes students’ plans change and they may have to cancel/reschedule your session. In this case, you would be receiving cancellation message on the upcoming session tab at least 6 (six) hours prior to the scheduled time.

You cannot cancel/reschedule sessions once you have accepted the session. So please accept the session thoughtfully. You are only paid for any session when it is confirmed from the students’ end about the successful completion of the session. You can accept/reject any session request through your MyTutorsOnline dashboard easily by accepting/rejecting the upcoming session request you want to accept by clicking “accept” button or would like to reject the session to the respective student by clicking the “reject” button. You will be asked to provide a reason for rejection which will be received by your student.
